Mac 's a young boy at approximately 2 - 5 year(s) old. READY FOR HOMING Mac is a very affectionate lad who needs a calm and experienced home.

Border Collies are not 'pets' they are highly intelligent and very sensitive companions. We are proud of the way our rescue dogs respond to the training we do with them to prepare them for their new homes. Our work is the foundation and we ask all potential adopters to be aware of the hard work involved in the first months of adoption. They don't come perfect they need your time and patience.

Mac is a lovely dog but he is strong, both in mind and body. He has had all his own way as a pup and had never been taught how to walk on a lead. He is now good on a lead and he is well mannered but atthree years old he is still a puppy in many ways. He cannot live with other dogs but he has a 'leave' command when he is on a walk and he is happy to walk out with other dogs on a lead. Despite his sometimes wayward ways he is a very loving dog who loves to be with someone and who has responded well to training. We do have background information about his past which will be made available to a prosective adopter. Mac is loving and loves to be loved, he likes nothing better than to be with someone.

No other dogs or cats in the home and only older children - eg late teens.

Mac needs someone with experience with strong collies and he would be better suited to a one person home, or two very like minded people. No children, cats or other dogs.

Due to a huge number of adoption enquiries please email your address and post code, number of people in your home, number of children at home or visiting, other dogs or pets in the home, hrs of work during and after Covid. We will not be able to email you back but your information will be filed. this system means that a first time enquiry won't take precedence over the offer of a good home that is already on our file.
Please do not ask for information about dogs under assessment. Thank you.
As always are first responsibility is to the dogs in our care.
Please note we will not be able to consider or respond to any enquiries about a dog until it is ready for homing
