He has had mixed training methods in the past and believed that being possessive would get him a reward. He has learned to mix with other dogs and slowly he has begun to realise that rewards come from not being possessive.

Ben is a very happy dog and food and bones are no longer an issue with but neither does he need an issue making of them. He can now be fed and given bones and titbits without him making any attempt to snatch them. He has learned how to relax and how to be happy and his training is still in progresses.
Because of his age and his past we have moved him into permanent sanctuary with the Trust. If the right home became available for him we would still consider him being fostered but until such time he will remain in the care of the Trust.
