Giving

Our work at the Trust is totally dependent on the fundraising and donations of all our wonderful supporters. Every bowl of food, every trip to the vets, every kennel space, every hour of staff time has been paid for by a kind supporter.

So every penny really does count, and is spent carefully for the benefit of the dogs. There are no business lunches, glossy brochures, company cars, etc. Just hardworking, dedicated people making the money stretch as far as possible to help as many dogs as we possibly can.

Everyone who supports us in anyway becomes part of our family at the Trust. We hold special events for people to get together, meet some of the dogs and get to know us better. We like to keep in touch with all our supporters via facebook, emails, phonecalls and newsletters. Regular supporters often arrange to call in for informal visits too.

Please have a look at the suggestions below and find out if there’s any way, large or small, that you can support us in our work.

Bequests / Legacies

The Trust became a registered charity in 2007 thanks to a very generous bequest from the late Mr & Mrs Mahone. TheTrust has grown from strength to strength and we are recognized as one of the most professional, dedicated rescues in the country. We have big dreams for the future, which include owning our own land so we can secure the future of the rescue for many years to come. Any bequest contributing to the future of the rescue will be received with inexpressible gratitude.

Amazon Wishlist

Our Amazon Wishlist enables you to buy gifts for our dogs that you know that we need. Simply purchase the item via Amazon and it will be delivered directly to us. It’s very exciting when things we really need just turn up in the post. Please let us know what you have sent so we can thank you properly!

Ebay

Have a look at our page on Ebay. You can buy or sell items with some or all of the proceeds coming directly to us, or you can choose us as your favourite charity. Around Christmas, you can also buy our Christmas cards and Calendars on Ebay.

Set yourself a challenge

To raise money for our rescue dogs people have run, swam, cycled, driven across Europe, climbed mountains, sung and done special dog walks.
Let us know your plans, and we will do all we can to support and promote your event. You can use Virgin Giving to set up your own fundraising page and the money will come directly into our bank account. Just go to our page and click ‘start fundraising’

Hold Your Own Event

Our supporters regularly hold stalls for us at local galas or car boot sales and some organise their own events such as a coffee morning or a concert. Other supporters have used a big family event e.g. a wedding anniversary or birthday to raise funds for us. We can provide leaflets, display materials and info about the dogs. We also have ambassador dogs who will be happy to come along to any event local to the Trust and meet your guests.

Donate your unwanted goods:

We are always grateful for donations of anything we could use directly or can sell on our stalls or auctions. We also have some wonderful volunteers who make jewellery & charms, painted glass, poo bag holders and many other craft items for us to sell.
  • Newspapers
  • Dog equipment e.g. Collars, leads, coats, blankets
  • Tombola and raffle items
  • Crafts and gift items
