Donations to the Trust
How your donations help

It is expected that the Trust will always have dogs in its care, so there are food and vet bills to pay each month, plus all the ‘extras’ that go towards making the dogs lives more comfortable and where necessary to assist their speedy recovery.

Some typical expenses to be met each month...

Food and vet bills for the long term resident and rescues/ dogs that cannot be rehomed

Food and vet bills for dogs who are, or will be, eligible for re-homing

Vaccination and health checks for new dogs in our care.

Food and vet bills for dogs in short term foster

Age related vet bills for our ‘Golden Oldies’ in our care and foster homes

Micro-chipping for dogs going to new homes

Worming and standard maintenance such as vitamin supplements etc

Dog beds

Towels

Leads and long training leads (strong with good catches)

Bedding

This list is nearly endless, just imagine what you need, or what you would spend, per week on one dog, add the additional expenses such as insurance and vet bills and then add a substantial allowance for any unforeseen expenses such as emergencies, veterinary treatment and that’s for just one dog! You will now have an idea of the cost to keep these dogs happy and to give them a chance of being ‘normal’ dogs.

Ambassador Dogs:

With the exception of Dart, who is a rescue, the Ambassador dogs are not fed or maintained by the Trust, they are Mainline Border Collie Centre dogs who represent the Trust as Ambassadors for the breed.
