Tweed
(sanctuary dog)
Tweed is one of our lovely old guys who has issues but does put them on one side when he wants to meet someone

Tweed was in a real mess when he came into our care in March 2012. He was covered in blood, sores and urine and his skin was raw. It took a lot of vet visits and a lot of TLC to get him to be the happy, healthy gentle-man he is today.
Tweed's sight isn't brilliant and he soon loses confidence when out of his comfort zone but that doesn't prevent him from trying out his habit of constantly looking for something to chase. Another of Tweed's 'little habits' is bed eating although after over two years he is finally growing out of that one. He also used to stalk every dog he saw but now he has his own group of dog friends that he likes to go in the paddocks with. Tweed's teeth are practically non existent, they were worn almost to the gums when he came to us, probably from months of trying to break free from where he had been kept.
We can only guess what Tweed's life had been like before but we know that the rest of his life will be warm, safe, well fed and very much loved in our Sanctuary.
